School districts serve a critical role in the ability of educators to implement positive behavior supports within a multi-tier framework with fidelity and sustainability.  Districts provide visibility, priority, the allocation of resources and the removal of barriers to implementation.  This webinar will provide strategies for developing district level adoption and implementation of MTSS.  Key features of successful district level implementation will be discussed. District implementation pitfalls will be identified and suggestions to address these will be shared.

Steve Goodman, Ph.D., is the Director of Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBLSi), a statewide initiative to improve student reading and behavior outcomes through an integrated model of supports. His 30 years in the field of education includes classroom teacher, and teacher consultant. Steve has co-authored research articles, several book chapters and a book promoting an approach to intervention that integrates reading and behavior within a multi-tier system of supports.
