RTI in a Digital Age

Here are my files for Thursday, June 30:

RTI in a Digital Age (Keynote)

Across all tiers of RTI, an intervention works when it is appropriately and effectively matched to the objective and a student's learning needs and characteristics. When integrated with evidence-based practices, the use of learning technologies in this process can be successful. From executing a literacy strategy to redefining a product or performance, technology has a place across Tiers 1, 2, and 3 of any RTI system. C_Curry_RTI_Digital_06_30_11.pdf

MLTI Resources for RTI (Breakout session 1)

The MLTI MacBook is your partner in designing and delivering instructional strategies and learning experiences for Tiers 1, 2, and 3 of an RTI system. With dozens of educational programs available, you will undoubtedly find the right tool for delivering an identified instructional strategy or for designing a learning experience that scaffolds student understanding of complex concepts. Furthermore, the MacBook has Universal Access features that allow customization for diverse student abilities, needs, and preferences.

Presenters: Cynthia Curry, MLTI Integration Mentor, and Jeff Mao, Learning Technology Policy Director, Maine Department of Education

A Framework for Evidence-Based Practices

The term "evidence-based practice" is used to describe a researched teaching method or strategy that has been shown to have a positive effect on student learning. Through a U.S. Department of Education grant awarded to USM's Teacher Education Department, a project team has assembled a framework for understanding and collecting evidence-based practices across multiple domains, including assessment, literacy, classroom management, inclusive practices, and instructional strategies. Curry_EBPs_Tue_6_28_RTI_Academy_2.ppt
