The 2010-2011 PBIS Coaches' Training series consists of a series of 10 all-day sessions. Each series of five can be taken as a 500-level inservice graduate course (fall and spring), or can be taken as ten individual workshops. The sessions (as workshops) will also be open to the general public but only participants who complete all 10 sessions, as well as the assignments and practical experiences associated with them, will be prepared to act as PBIS coaches within their home schools and districts.
The fall series provides the participant with a foundational understanding of schoolwide positive behavior supports. The spring series will explore a sequence of assessments and interventions which have been developed for use in a 3-Tier schoolwide positive behavior support (SWPBS) model. The spring series will also include time working with the instructors in schools currently practicing SWPBIS in addition to the course hours.
These will be held from 9-3:00
